The
process of power stripping is a very dangerous, and potentially lethal method
of removing the spell casting ability from a being or object. The Arcanum developed
this as a means of punishment for those who would defy their edicts, and their
laws. In their eyes power stripping is an essential, though very rarely used
part of keeping the peace. It is also an effective way of reducing various unwelcome
entities to a harmless, or semi-harmless state, by removing that entity's abilitie
to use or cast spells, psionic abilities, or in most cases, even items. Techno-wizard
items become totally useless to these individuals,
as do some magical items, since they no longer have a means of focusing
their energies in order to use that item.
